Position Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Power BI & Power Apps Developer with approximately 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting business intelligence solutions and low-code business applications using the Microsoft Power Platform.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, DAX, Power Query, Dataverse, and SharePoint Online, along with a good understanding of data modelling, ETL, system integration, security, and governance.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into interactive dashboards, automated workflows, scalable applications, and data-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency and support informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Power BI Development

- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, scorecards, and analytical solutions.
- Develop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and business calculations based on functional requirements.
- Build and optimize robust data models using Star Schema and Snowflake Schema methodologies.
- Perform data transformation, cleansing, and preparation using Power Query / M Language.
- Implement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS) to ensure secure and controlled access to business data.
- Connect Power BI with multiple data sources, including:
- SQL Server
- SAP
- SharePoint Online
- Microsoft Excel
- Azure services
- Dataverse
- REST APIs and other external data sources
- Develop optimized data models and reports for improved performance and scalability.
- Configure and monitor Power BI Service workspaces, datasets, dataflows, gateways, and scheduled refreshes.
- Troubleshoot data, refresh, visualization, and performance-related issues.
- Monitor report performance and implement optimization techniques to improve report loading and query execution times.
- Ensure dashboards and reports follow appropriate data governance, security, and reporting standards.

2. Power Apps Development

- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain business applications using Microsoft Power Apps.
- Develop both Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps based on business requirements.
- Create responsive and user-friendly applications for business process automation and operational requirements.
- Develop custom forms, screens, controls, user interfaces, and business logic.
- Use Microsoft Dataverse for data storage, application development, security, and integration.
- Integrate Power Apps with:
- SharePoint Online
- SQL Server
- Microsoft Teams
- Azure Services
- Dataverse
- Microsoft 365
- External APIs and third-party systems
- Develop applications that improve manual processes and enhance business productivity.
- Configure application security, permissions, roles, environments, and access controls.
- Troubleshoot and enhance existing Power Apps solutions based on business and user feedback.

3. Power Automate & Business Process Automation

- Design and develop automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.
- Build automated business processes for:
- Approval workflows




- Notifications and alerts
- Document management
- Data synchronization
- Task assignments
- Business process automation
- Integrate Power Automate with Microsoft 365 applications, Power Apps, SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL Server, Teams, and external systems.
- Develop cloud flows and automate repetitive and manual business processes.
- Troubleshoot failed flows, connectivity issues, integration errors, and performance problems.
- Optimize existing workflows to improve reliability, efficiency, and maintainability.
- Implement appropriate error handling, exception management, and monitoring mechanisms.

4. Data Integration & Technical Development

- Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources into Power Platform and Power BI solutions.
- Work with SQL Server, SAP, SharePoint, Excel, Azure, Dataverse, APIs, and other enterprise data sources.
- Understand and apply data warehousing and ETL concepts.
- Develop efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Analyze data structures and ensure data quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with data and IT teams to resolve data integration and connectivity issues.
- Ensure solutions are designed with scalability, performance, maintainability, and security in mind.

5. Business Requirements & Stakeholder Management

- Engage with business stakeholders to understand business processes, challenges, and reporting requirements.
- Gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements.
- Translate business requirements into effective Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate solutions.
- Work closely with business users to validate dashboards, applications, workflows, and reports.
- Provide technical recommendations and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Conduct user demonstrations, knowledge-sharing sessions, and training as required.
- Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshoot issues raised by business users.

6. Governance, Security & Deployment

- Follow Microsoft Power Platform governance, security, compliance, and development standards.
- Implement appropriate security roles, permissions, access controls, and Row-Level Security.
- Manage Power Platform environments and application lifecycle activities.
- Support solution deployment across development, testing, and production environments.
- Maintain appropriate documentation for applications, dashboards, workflows, integrations, and deployment processes.
- Follow best practices for version control, change management, solution management, and release processes.
- Ensure Power Platform solutions comply with organizational security and data governance requirements.

7. Documentation & Support

- Prepare and maintain technical and functional documentation for developed solutions.
- Document application architecture, data sources, workflows, integrations, security configurations, and deployment procedures.
- Provide production support for Power BI reports, Power Apps, and Power Automate workflows.
- Analyze and resolve application, report, data, and integration-related issues.




- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance existing solutions and improve system performance.

- Strong experience with Power Automate and business process automation.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse and SharePoint Online.
- Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with multiple data sources and external systems.
- Good understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, ETL, and data integration concepts.
- Experience in implementing application security, RLS, governance, and access controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
