About The Job:

- PostgreSQL DBA responsible for managing, maintaining, optimizing, securing, migrating, and supporting PostgreSQL databases across on-premises and cloud environments including Azure PostgreSQL and AWS RDS.
- Experience: 10-15 Years

Qualifications:

- Resolving critical issues with proper analysis and share the Root cause analysis with permanent fix.
- Managing PostgreSQL Server in (Development, testing and production) environments.
- DB background includes database configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and managing day to day operation activities.
- Provide assistance to the application team in identifying database problems.
- Exposure in Database upgradation and Migration.
- Worked and managed cloud-based database infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL database management.
- Database Patch and Upgrade experience.
- Understanding of Unix administration to manage the database independently.
- Extensive work on High Availability and Disaster Recovery Solutions includes (Clustering, Replication, Multi-Master Replication).
- Security Management (Logins, Users, Database/Server Roles and Granting/revoking permissions).
- Decent experience with recent versions of PostgreSQL.




- Expertise in Database migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL.
- Experience troubleshooting PostgreSQL migration issues.
- Experience troubleshooting PostgreSQL issues.
- Expert in VMware and Cloud DB infrastructure deployment.
- Database Consolidation and Solution Design for PostgreSQL Server Database technology.
- Exposure in Database Audit.
- Assessing and auditing existing Projects for value-add and SIP to the client in terms of optimize operational and technical streams.
- Automate the daily task using Shell Script.
- Sound knowledge of Access Control, Incident Management, Capacity Management, Problem Management, Release Management, Change Management, and Service Management.
- Worked on Database migration from On-premise to cloud.
- Experience with replication configuration in MySQL (Master-Master and Master-Slave).
- Database-as-a-Service solutions.
- Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.
- Prepare documentations and specifications.
- Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in PostgreSQL.
- Proficient in writing and optimizing PostgreSQL statements.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL features, such as its event scheduler.
- Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications.
- Knowledge of limitations in PostgreSQL and their workarounds in contrast to other popular relational databases.
- Regular review and updates/report of Build Guides, Runbooks,



SOPs and Vendor advisories.
- Knowledge of other RDBMS (MSSQL, Oracle).
