Role Description This is a full-time, on-site PLC Programmer role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area. The PLC Programmer will design, develop, test, and commission PLC programs for a variety of industrial automation projects, ensuring productive and safe operation of machinery and processes.

Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and troubleshooting PLCs, integrating SCADA/HMI systems, modifying logic based on process requirements, and documenting control strategies and technical specifications. The role involves collaborating with project engineers and electricians during installation and commissioning, diagnosing control system issues, and providing support and updates for existing automation solutions. The PLC Programmer will also participate in project planning, maintain adherence to safety and quality standards, and contribute to continuous improvement of automation practices.





Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., ladder logic, function block, structured text) and experience with major PLC platforms (such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, ABB, Delat, Mitsubishi).
- Hands-on experience with SCADA and HMI configuration, screen development, data logging, and alarm management.
- Knowledge of industrial automation concepts, control systems, instrumentation, and electrical panels, including I/O mapping and field device integration.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs;, electrical schematics, and technical documentation, and translate process requirements into control strategies.
- Experience in on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of automation systems in sectors such as manufacturing, oil and gas, material handling, water treatment, automobile, or energy.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP) and networked control architectures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work safely in industrial environments and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field; relevant certifications in PLC/SCADA programming are an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area, with flexibility for occasional travel
- Experience required - 1-3 years in PLC Programming
