Position: Plant Head

Reporting To: Founder / CEO

Key Responsibilities

- Plant Operations: Own end-to-end production, processing, packing, utilities, maintenance, and daily plant operations.
- Production Planning: Develop production plans aligned with demand, inventory, and dispatch requirements while ensuring timely order fulfilment.
- Quality & Food Safety: Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, HACCP, hygiene, food-safety, and internal quality standards.
- Cost & Productivity: Drive productivity, yield improvement, waste reduction, OEE improvement, and manufacturing cost optimisation.
- People Management: Build, lead, and develop production, quality, maintenance, warehouse, and plant-support teams.
- Maintenance & Reliability: Ensure preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, minimum downtime, and effective breakdown management.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate closely with procurement, warehouse, quality, sales, and logistics teams to maintain smooth material flow.
- Inventory & Materials: Ensure appropriate control of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and production losses.
- Process Improvement: Establish SOPs, systems, KPIs, and continuous-improvement initiatives to create scalable manufacturing processes.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain statutory compliance, occupational safety, fire safety, environmental standards, and plant documentation.




- New Product / Scale-up: Support product trials, process validation, capacity expansion, and commercialisation of current products.
- Startup Ownership: Work closely with the founders and take hands-on ownership of solving operational, quality, people, and capacity challenges.

Ideal Candidate

- 8–15 years of experience in food, FMCG, nutrition, dairy, nutraceutical, or related manufacturing.
- Experience managing a complete manufacturing plant, preferably in a high-growth or startup environment.
- Strong understanding of food manufacturing, quality systems, production planning, and plant KPIs.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and execution skills.
- Experience in setting up or scaling manufacturing operations would be an advantage.

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
