Role Description The Plant Head (Sugar Industry Only) will oversee end-to-end operations of a sugar manufacturing plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. This full-time, on-site role is based in Gujarat, India, and involves leading cross-functional teams, aligning daily operations with organizational targets, and maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities include supervising production planning, monitoring throughput and yields, coordinating preventive maintenance with engineering teams, and maintaining high-quality standards for all sugar products.

The Plant

Head will manage budgets, implement process improvements, optimize resource utilization, and prepare regular operational reports for senior management. The role also involves driving workplace safety, mentoring team members, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust skills in Plant Operations and Production Management, with proven experience leading large-scale manufacturing units in the sugar industry.




- Candidates should possess skills in Production Planning and Budgeting, including capacity planning, cost control, and resource optimization.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control, with the ability to maintain product standards, implement quality systems, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Relevant experience in the sugar industry, preferably as Plant Head, Factory Manager, or similar senior operational role.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical), Sugar Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making abilities, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in using production monitoring tools, MS Office, and basic ERP systems for reporting and data analysis.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards, with experience implementing safety protocols and compliance measures.
