Role & responsibilities

Position: Plant Head PVC Manufacturing

Company: MM Aqua Technologies Ltd

Location: Gurgaon & Palwal, Haryana

Reporting To: Director / Managing Director

Department: Manufacturing & Operations

Role Overview The Plant Head will be responsible for overall operational leadership of two manufacturing plants (Gurgaon and Palwal) involved in the production of PVC components used in cooling towers, water treatment systems, and environmental engineering applications.

The role requires strategic planning, operational excellence, production optimization, quality management, and cost control, while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plant Operations & Production Management

- Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations across both plants including PVC sheet production, thermoforming, and fabrication of fill media and related components.
- Ensure optimal plant capacity utilization and production planning aligned with business demand.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency, productivity, and reduce waste.
- Monitor production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.

1. Strategic Planning & Operational Leadership

- Develop and execute long-term manufacturing strategies to support company growth.
- Coordinate with management to align production targets with sales and project requirements.
- Lead initiatives for automation, process optimization, and technological upgrades in PVC manufacturing.

1. Quality Assurance & Process Control





- Ensure strict adherence to quality standards and ISO compliance.
- Maintain consistent product quality for cooling tower fills, drift eliminators, tube settlers, and related PVC products.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives and root cause analysis to minimize defects and rejections.

1. Supply Chain & Inventory Management

- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure availability of raw materials such as PVC compounds, additives, and packaging materials.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels and production planning to prevent supply disruptions.

1. Plant Maintenance & Engineering

- Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of machinery, equipment, and utilities.
- Oversee plant engineering activities including machinery upgrades, installation, and process improvements.
- Maintain plant infrastructure and equipment reliability.

1. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

- Ensure strict compliance with EHS standards and statutory regulations.
- Maintain secure working conditions across both manufacturing plants.
- Implement environmentally responsible manufacturing practices aligned with the company’s sustainability goals.

1. Team Leadership & Workforce Management

- Lead and manage production, engineering, maintenance,



quality, and logistics teams across both plants.
- Develop a high-performance culture with strong focus on discipline, safety, and efficiency.
- Drive training and skill development programs for plant employees.
- Union handling & negotiations.

1. Cost Control & Financial Performance

- Monitor and control manufacturing costs, operational budgets, and plant profitability.
- Identify opportunities to reduce production costs without compromising quality.
- Improve energy efficiency and resource utilization.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Chemical / Polymer / Production Engineering
- MBA in Operations or Industrial Management (preferred)

Experience
- 15–20 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in PVC, plastics, polymer processing, or industrial components manufacturing.
- Minimum 5–8 years in a leadership role managing large manufacturing plants.
- Experience managing multi-location manufacturing operations is highly preferred.
