Job Responsibilities The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing overall plant operations, production planning, productivity, quality, manpower utilization, customer requirements, and continuous improvement activities.

1. Production Planning & Operations

- Oversee and manage all production planning and operational activities within the plant.
- Develop production plans, budgets, and timelines in line with production specifications and customer requirements.
- Determine production requirements based on plant capacity, available resources, and production specifications.
- Plan workflow, production schedules, and manpower deployment for various production departments.
- Monitor daily production status and ensure timely completion and delivery of jobs.
- Identify production delays, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints and take corrective actions to achieve planned targets.
- Determine the equipment, materials, manpower, and other resources required to meet production targets.
- Ensure smooth and efficient plant operations while maintaining productivity and cost-effectiveness.

1. Production Monitoring & Performance

- Conduct daily production review meetings to monitor production plans, achievements, breakdowns, quality issues, and dispatch status.
- Evaluate current production processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor production breakdowns, downtime, and dispatch schedules and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Track key production performance indicators and drive initiatives for productivity improvement.
- Ensure timely escalation of critical production issues, delays, and plant outages to the concerned Team Leader/Management.

1. Quality & Customer Requirements





- Ensure that finished products meet defined quality standards, technical requirements, and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with the Quality and other concerned departments to resolve quality-related issues.
- Provide effective support to ensure customer satisfaction and timely fulfillment of customer requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate customer inspections at the plant.
- Validate and ensure compliance of all export-related jobs as per customer and applicable requirements.
- Investigate customer complaints, identify root causes, and ensure proper tracing of relevant production and quality records.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence of customer complaints.

1. Interdepartmental Coordination & Dispatch

- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, Planning, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth execution of jobs.
- Ensure timely dispatch of finished goods as per customer requirements and committed schedules.
- Coordinate job priorities and resource allocation based on customer delivery requirements.
- Resolve production-related issues and promptly escalate unresolved or critical matters to management.

1. Continuous Improvement & Systems Implementation

- Implement and sustain improvement systems and initiatives across the plant.
- Drive TPS (Toyota Production System) activities, Kaizen , productivity improvement initiatives, and error-reduction programs.
- Conduct regular operator meetings to improve productivity, quality, safety, and process discipline.
- Analyze production errors, process deviations, breakdowns,



and operational losses and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, discipline, and operational excellence across the plant.

1. Risk Management

- Assist in identifying production and operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Monitor potential risks related to production, manpower, equipment, quality, and delivery.
- Ensure timely escalation and resolution of critical operational risks.

1. Manpower Management

- Prepare and maintain shift schedules based on production requirements and manpower availability.
- Monitor employee attendance, shift deployment, and manpower utilization.
- Support employee recruitment, induction, training, performance evaluation, development, retention, and separation activities.
- Ensure effective manpower utilization and maintain discipline and productivity within the plant.
- Develop team capabilities through regular communication, training, and performance monitoring.

1. Working Hours & Additional Responsibilities

- Willingness to work in shifts and provide on-call support as required by plant operations.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.
