Role & responsibilities

Job Summary The Planning Head will be responsible for leading project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control activities for industrial parks, logistics parks, warehouses, and related infrastructure projects. The role involves developing project execution strategies, tracking progress, identifying risks, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely project delivery within budget and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

- Develop detailed project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project execution plans.
- Prepare baseline schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
- Establish project milestones, timelines, and critical paths.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules.

Project Monitoring & Control
- Track project performance and productivity metrics.
- Analyze schedule variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct periodic project reviews and progress meetings.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and delivery commitments.

Resource Planning
- Plan manpower, machinery, material, and subcontractor requirements.
- Coordinate with procurement, design, contracts, and execution teams.
- Optimize resource allocation across multiple projects.

Cost & Risk Management
- Monitor project budgets and cash flow projections.
- Identify project risks and prepare mitigation plans.




- Support value engineering initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Reporting & MIS
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly project progress reports.
- Develop dashboards and management reports for leadership review.
- Present project status, delays, and recovery plans to senior management.

Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ensure timely resolution of project planning and execution issues.
- Support management in strategic decision-making and project prioritization.

Process Improvement
- Establish planning standards and best practices across projects.
- Implement digital project monitoring tools and reporting systems.
- Drive continuous improvement in project controls and planning processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Master's Degree/MBA in Project Management is preferred.

Experience
- 15 years of experience in project planning and controls.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing large industrial, logistics park, warehouse, manufacturing facility, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in real estate development, industrial parks, and warehousing projects is highly preferred.
