Role Summary The Planning Engineer Interiors will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, reporting, resource planning, and coordination for interior fit-out projects. The role requires close coordination with Project Managers, site teams, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely project execution and completion.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules covering interior fit-out activities from mobilization through handover.

- Develop work programs, activity sequences, manpower plans, material requirements, and target dates.

- Monitor actual project progress against the approved baseline schedule and identify delays/deviations.

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, MIS, dashboards, and management updates.

- Track critical activities and milestones and highlight potential delays with appropriate recovery plans.

- Coordinate with site execution, design, procurement, commercial, and subcontractor teams to ensure planned activities are achieved.

- Monitor manpower, material availability, drawings, approvals, and other dependencies affecting project progress.

- Prepare and update 2-week / 3-week look-ahead schedules and communicate priorities to project teams.

- Identify project risks, constraints, and bottlenecks and support corrective and preventive actions.

- Track drawing submissions, approvals, material approvals, procurement status, and site execution against the project schedule.

- Assist in preparation and evaluation of EOT / delay analysis and supporting documentation wherever required.





- Conduct regular progress review meetings and maintain action trackers.

- Ensure proper documentation of project progress, changes, delays, and approvals throughout the project lifecycle.

- Coordinate project handover and closure activities, ensuring all planned deliverables are completed.

Key Performance Areas (KRA)

- Achievement of project milestones as per approved schedule.

- Accurate and timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly planning reports.

- Effective monitoring and control of project delays and critical activities.

- Timely preparation and updating of look-ahead schedules.

- Effective coordination of manpower, materials, drawings, approvals, and subcontractor activities.

- Timely identification and escalation of risks and schedule deviations.

- Supporting successful project completion and handover within the planned timeline.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of interior fit-out planning and execution.

- Good understanding of project scheduling, sequencing, and progress monitoring.

- Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera P6 / Excel.

- Strong MIS, reporting, analytical, and documentation skills.

- Ability to prepare baseline schedules, look-ahead plans, progress reports, and recovery schedules.

- Good coordination and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work under tight project deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Qualification & Experience

- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering,

- Experience: 510 years of relevant experience in planning and project controls, preferably in interior fit-out / commercial interiors.

- Candidates with robust site planning and execution coordination experience will be preferred.
