About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer – Software to join our dynamic development team in Bangalore. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance PHP applications that meet our business needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of scalable, robust, and secure software solutions.

The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of object-oriented programming, database management, and performance optimization techniques. Your expertise will help enhance our existing platforms and contribute to the development of new features and services, ensuring they adhere to industry best practices and internal standards.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in PHP development, with a proven track record of working on large-scale or data-intensive applications.



A strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and experience with SQL Server is essential. Candidates should possess excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, along with the ability to analyze performance bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, and basic knowledge of front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable PHP applications in accordance with internal coding standards and best practices. Implement modular, reusable, and maintainable code leveraging strong object-oriented programming principles. Develop and optimise server-side logic, stored procedures, triggers, and database operations to ensure productive data handling.

Collaborate with database administrators to design and optimise SQL Server queries, indexes, and database structures for performance and scalability. Analyse system performance, identify bottlenecks across UI, database, and API layers, and implement solutions to enhance overall system responsiveness. Ensure all code adheres to established coding standards and architecture guidelines, conducting thorough code reviews and participating in QA testing processes.





Take ownership of tasks from requirement analysis through to deployment and ongoing production support. Work closely with cross-functional teams such as QA, product management, and UI/UX designers to deliver high-quality software solutions. Continuously seek opportunities to improve system performance, security, and maintainability.
