Role & Responsibilities

- Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medicines accurately as per the prescription.

- Verify prescriptions for correct dosage, medication, and potential drug interactions.

- Provide patients with clear instructions regarding dosage, administration, side effects, and precautions.

- Maintain accurate records of medicines dispensed and patient prescriptions.

- Monitor pharmacy inventory, stock levels, batch numbers, and expiry dates.

- Place orders for medicines and ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products.

- Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and standard operating procedures.

- Coordinate with doctors and other healthcare professionals regarding medication-related queries.

- Handle and maintain records of controlled and restricted medicines as required.

- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the pharmacy.

- Address patient and customer queries professionally and provide excellent service.

- Support audits, inspections,

Preferred candidate profile

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Qualified D.Pharm / B.Pharm from a recognized institution.

- Valid pharmacist registration with the relevant State Pharmacy Council.

- 03 years of experience in a retail pharmacy, hospital, clinic, or healthcare setting; freshers may also be considered.

- Positive knowledge of medicines, prescriptions, dosages, and basic drug interactions.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Patient-focused, responsible, and professional in approach.

- Ability to work effectively in a team and handle day-to-day pharmacy operations.

- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with pharmacy billing/inventory software is an advantage.

- Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, or holidays when required.
