Role Description The Payroll & Compliance Executive will manage end-to-end payroll processing for on-roll employees, ensuring accuracy in salary calculations, statutory deductions, reimbursements, and final settlements. The role involves maintaining employee records, managing attendance and leave data, coordinating with HR and accounts, and resolving payroll-related queries in a timely manner.
The executive will oversee statutory compliance, including PF, ESIC, professional tax, gratuity, and other labor law requirements,
and support timely filing of returns and preparation of compliance reports. Additional responsibilities include assisting in audits, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal standards, and contributing to process improvements in payroll and compliance operations. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, including salary structure, deductions, reimbursements, and full & final settlements.
- Experience with statutory compliance and labor laws (PF, ESIC, professional tax, gratuity, bonus, and related regulations).
- Proficiency in payroll software, HRIS, and MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and reporting).
- Ability to maintain accurate employee records, manage attendance and leave data, and prepare payroll and compliance reports.
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and coordination skills for working with HR, finance, operations, and external agencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, HR, or a related field; professional certifications in payroll or compliance are an advantage.
- Prior experience in payroll and compliance within industrial, manufacturing, or engineering services environments is preferred.
