Essential Job Functions:
- Engineering & Design: Design, implement, and deploy Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) in complex environments.
- Panorama Management: Centralized management of large-scale Palo Alto firewall environments via Panorama.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve complex network security issues (L3/L4), including packet captures and flow analysis.
- Security Policy Optimization: Review, refine, and optimize firewall policies (App-ID, User-ID, Content-ID) to improve performance and security.
- Netskope – Experience in Proxy
- VPN & Connectivity: Configure and troubleshoot GlobalProtect, IPsec VPNs, and SD-WAN.
- Maintenance & Upgrades: Plan and execute PAN-OS upgrades, hardware replacements, and hotfixes.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to L1/L2 engineers
Qualifications
- Exp
- 10-13 years
- Experience: 5+ years, preferably 8+ years, in network security and Palo Alto firewall administration.
- Certifications: Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) is highly desirable, along with CCNP or equivalent knowledge.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF),
VLANs, TCP/IP, and firewall security best practices.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication for client-facing roles
