Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated OT Scrub Nurse to join our Operation Theatre team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic techniques, preparing surgical instruments and equipment, and ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and NABH standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare the Operation Theatre, instruments, equipment, and surgical supplies before procedures.
- Assist the surgical team as a Scrub Nurse during surgical procedures.
- Maintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques throughout the procedure.
- Arrange and check surgical instruments, sutures, consumables, and other required items.
- Perform surgical counts of instruments, needles, and sponges before, during, and after procedures.
- Anticipate the surgeon's requirements and provide instruments and supplies promptly.
- Handle surgical specimens appropriately and ensure proper labeling and transfer.
- Coordinate with CSSD for availability of sterile instruments and surgical sets.
- Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection,



and preparation of OT after each procedure.
- Maintain OT registers, checklists, and other required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and OT protocols.
- Follow NABH standards and hospital policies related to Operation Theatre practices.
- Report equipment malfunction, shortages, or any other OT-related concerns to the concerned authority.
- Assist in emergency surgical procedures whenever required.

Qualifications

- B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the State Nursing Council.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience as an OT/Scrub Nurse in a hospital.
- Experience in a multi-speciality hospital will be preferred.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications may also apply.
