Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and organized OT Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day coordination and smooth functioning of the Operation Theatre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for OT scheduling, coordination with surgeons, anesthetists, nursing staff, and other departments, while ensuring adherence to hospital protocols, infection control practices, and NABH standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and manage the daily OT schedule and surgical procedures.
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, nursing staff, CSSD, housekeeping, and other concerned departments.
- Ensure timely preparation of OT, instruments, equipment, consumables, and surgical supplies.
- Ensure availability of required instruments, implants, medicines, and other OT requirements before procedures.
- Monitor OT readiness and ensure smooth patient flow before, during, and after surgeries.
- Ensure proper coordination for emergency and scheduled surgeries.
- Maintain OT records, registers, checklists, and other required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, sterilization, and OT safety protocols.




- Monitor adherence to NABH standards and hospital policies within the OT.
- Coordinate with CSSD for timely availability of sterile instruments and sets.
- Monitor OT utilization, delays, cancellations, and related operational issues.
- Report equipment breakdowns, shortages, and other operational concerns to the concerned department.
- Support implementation of OT policies, protocols, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper communication and coordination among all OT team members.

Qualifications

- B.Sc. Nursing / GNM / Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) or relevant qualification.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Operation Theatre coordination/management in a hospital.
- Experience in a multi-speciality hospital will be preferred.
- Knowledge of NABH standards and infection control practices is preferred.
