- Role Purpose The OTM Consultant will support Oracle Transportation Management, covering both Application Management Services (AMS) and Application Development (AD). The role is responsible for stable transportation operations, timely incident resolution, and delivery of configuration, integration, reporting, and enhancement requirements.
Business criticality: OTM supports transportation planning and execution. Production issues require rapid resolution to minimize disruption to outbound logistics and plant operations.
- Key Responsibilities
2.1 AMS / Production Support
- Provide L2/L3 functional and techno-functional support for Oracle Transportation Management.
- Monitor, analyze, and resolve incidents, service requests, and production defects within agreed service levels.
- Troubleshoot issues related to order management, shipment planning and execution, rates, master data, agents, reports, and interfaces.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive or permanent corrective actions.
- Support critical business operations across APAC and participate in priority incident calls when required.
- Monitor integrations, batch jobs, alerts, and daily operational activities to ensure business continuity.
- Coordinate with business users, application teams, integration teams, infrastructure teams, and Oracle Support.
- Prepare support documentation, knowledge articles, troubleshooting guides, and handover materials.
- Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to team members.
2.2 Application Development / Enhancements
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical OTM solutions.
- Configure and enhance OTM agents, rate offerings and records, planning parameters, master data, access controls, screen sets, manager layouts,
and user menus.
- Design and support OTM integrations with external and enterprise systems using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, FTP, or SFTP as applicable.
- Develop or enhance OTM reports, dashboards, business intelligence outputs, and data extracts.
- Prepare functional specifications, technical specifications, configuration documents, test scenarios, and deployment plans.
- Perform unit testing and support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, release validation, and post-go-live support.
- Support configuration and code migration across environments, including release and change-management activities.
- Contribute to product improvements, automation, defect fixes, and continuous service improvement.
3. Required Functional Skills
- Strong understanding of transportation and logistics processes, including order management, shipment management, planning, execution, and visibility.
- Hands-on experience with OTM master data, locations, items, resources, rates, itineraries, planning parameters, agents, and user configuration.
- Understanding of freight planning, carrier interaction, transportation sourcing, and freight settlement is preferred.
- Ability to understand business requirements, identify functional gaps, and recommend practical OTM solutions.
- Knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing logistics processes.

- Experience and Qualifications
- 5-12+ years of overall IT experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on OTM experience.
- Demonstrated experience in OTM AMS / production support and delivery of enhancements or implementation work.
- Experience supporting global or multi-country business operations; APAC support experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, supply chain, or a related discipline.
- Oracle OTM, Oracle SCM Cloud, OIC, or related certifications are advantageous.

7. Preferred Profile A techno-functional OTM consultant who can independently manage business-as-usual support while also delivering configurations, integrations, reports, fixes, and enhancements. The candidate should combine sound transportation-process knowledge with hands-on troubleshooting and disciplined stakeholder communication.
