Database Migration Developer | Oracle → PostgreSQL

Must-Have Skills

- 5–7.5 years of relevant database experience

• Strong hands-on experience in Oracle & PostgreSQL

• Proven experience in Oracle → PostgreSQL migration

- Strong SQL / PL/SQL knowledge

• Experience with database migration/conversion tools such as AWS SCT, AWS DMS, Ora2Pg, pgLoader or EDB Migration Toolkit

• Hands-on experience with cloud database environments – AWS / Azure / GCP

- Experience in schema conversion, data migration, validation and reconciliation
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- Ability to work independently and resolve technical blockers
- Should be comfortable working with and supporting junior developers

Valuable to Have

AWS RDS / Aurora PostgreSQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, CDC, replication, PostgreSQL performance tuning and migration automation.
