Essential Job Functions:
- Adhering to SLAs.
- Mentoring / Training Team Members.
- Handling tickets / requests.
- Perform root cause analysis.
- Troubleshooting technical issues.
- Defining processes (SOP/MOPs) and ensuring that the processes are adhered to.
- Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of database tasks.
- Responsible for maintaining customer database standards.
- Responsible for strategizing a backup plan and test plan for failure scenarios.
- Improves and maintains customer satisfaction.
- Suggests Database environment gaps, improvements, and new technologies.
- Monitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team members.
- Identify skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating.
- To independently resolve tickets and ensure that the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met for the team.
- To provide support for on-call escalations or L3 level support and perform incident, change, and problem management.
- To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies to ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions or reopen cases.
- To participate or contribute on EN business in creation of proposals to drive Service Improvement Plans.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 6-8 Years
Technical Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in an IT operations / large-scale services environment.
- A minimum of 5 years’ Production DBA experience in an enterprise-level environment.
- Expertise in Oracle database installation and administration.
- Experience in AWS RDS and EC2 instance types.
- Hands-on experience in Oracle RAC, Data Guard and patching.
- Ability to validate quarterly patches and work with Oracle vendor on bug fixes and one-off patches.
- Experience in installing, administering, and managing Oracle 12c through 19c databases.
- Experience in configuring and managing Oracle RAC, Grid Infrastructure, Oracle ASM, and OEM.
- Hands-on experience in data refresh and migration using Data Pump.
- Hands-on experience in database upgrade procedures.
- Experience with RMAN database backup and recovery.
- Knowledge of User Management, Profiles, and Auditing.
- Create/manage Oracle SRs and support teams in issue resolution.
- Hands-on experience in Performance Tuning, AWR, ASH, ADDM, Explain Plan, etc.
- Experience in OEM monitoring.
- Ability to interact and understand customer requirements for performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot database issues and maintain database systems availability and scalability.
- Create and maintain Oracle databases required for development, testing, integration, QA, and production usage.
- Perform capacity planning required to create and maintain databases.
- Work closely with Server, Backup, and Storage administrators to meet Backup, Hardware, Storage, and Operating System requirements.
- Work closely with customers to understand requirements and standards.
- Perform ongoing analysis and tuning of Oracle databases.
- Experience in MySQL and PostgreSQL would be an advantage.
- Collaborate with development/support teams to optimize SQL statements.
- Solve production problems in a timely manner,
including off-hours and weekend support when necessary.
- Validate backup strategy, perform on-demand backups, and restores.
- Develop current backup and recovery processes leveraging new techniques and technologies.
- Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Perl, Shell, T-SQL, PL/SQL, and Python.
- Identify server hardware, software, and configurations necessary for optimal database performance.
- Address incoming calls/emails on L2 issues, troubleshoot, and provide issue resolution.
