Description
Position Overview The Oracle Database Administrator is responsible for the design, installation, configuration, patching, maintenance, performance tuning, and security of Oracle database environments. This role ensures the availability, reliability, and integrity of mission critical Oracle databases across production and non-production environments.
Experience Required
Minimum Experience: 3–10+ years as an Oracle DBA (customizable based on requirement).
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Database (11g/12c/18c/19c/21c).
- Perform Oracle Grid Infrastructure installation and configuration.
- Apply patches, PSU/CPU updates, and manage the database lifecycle.
- Implement and maintain RMAN backup, restore, and recovery strategies.
- Configure and manage Oracle Data Guard and standby databases.
- Perform switchover/failover operations and DR drills.
- Optimize performance using AWR, ASH, ADDM, and SQL tuning.
- Troubleshoot session blocking, memory, and I/O bottlenecks.
- Manage ASM disk groups, tablespaces, partitions, and indexing strategies.
- Ensure security through roles, privileges, encryption (TDE), and auditing.
- Administer Oracle RAC for high availability.
- Support cloud databases: OCI, AWS RDS for Oracle, Azure integrations.
- Collaborate with developers on SQL optimization and PL/SQL code review.
- Maintain documentation for DB architecture, SOPs, and DR processes.
