Responsibilities

- Administer Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases across production, test, and development environments.
- Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle database systems.
- Configure and manage Oracle GoldenGate Extract, Data Pump, and Replicat processes.
- Monitor GoldenGate replication status, latency, trail files, checkpoints, and process health.
- Troubleshoot replication abends, data mismatches, lag, missing transactions, and synchronization issues.
- Develop and maintain GoldenGate parameter files and replication configurations.
- Support unidirectional and bidirectional replication environments.
- Perform Oracle performance tuning, SQL tuning, indexing, and execution-plan analysis.
- Manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and SQL Server high-availability environments.
- Design and maintain database backup, recovery, disaster-recovery, and business-continuity processes.
- Perform database migrations, upgrades, refreshes, cloning, and environment provisioning.
- Manage database security, including users, roles, privileges, auditing, and access controls.
- Monitor database capacity, availability, performance, and operational health.
- Automate database administration and monitoring tasks using Shell, PowerShell, or Python.
- Respond to production incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, development, cloud, and cybersecurity teams.
- Support release deployments, change activities, audits, and 24×7 on-call operations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, recovery procedures, and support standards.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 8–10 years of experience in database administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server.




- Proven experience implementing, monitoring, and troubleshooting Oracle GoldenGate.
- Knowledge of GoldenGate Extract, Pump, Replicat, trail files, checkpoints, lag monitoring, and process recovery.
- Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, backup and recovery, and database performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience working with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
- Understanding of database security, high availability, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.
- Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and incident-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Oracle Certified Qualified certification.
- Oracle GoldenGate certification or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Microsoft Azure database services.
- Exposure to PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational database technologies.
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and SQL Server monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with ITIL, DevOps, CI/CD, and automated deployment practices.
