About The Client

Essential Job Functions:

- Manage and support Oracle databases on AWS EC2 and AWS RDS.

- Administer and optimise PostgreSQL RDS environments.

- Perform database migrations, upgrades, patching, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.

- Lead and support Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migration initiatives.

- Configure and manage AWS DMS, AWS SCT, and Oracle GoldenGate replication solutions.

- Implement HA/DR solutions using Oracle Data Guard and AWS-native services.

- Support emerging workloads on AWS Keyspaces (Cassandra) and provide guidance on design, performance, and operations.

Qualifications

Required Skills

- Oracle Database Administration (11g/12c/19c+)

- Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard

- AWS EC2, AWS RDS (Oracle & PostgreSQL)

- AWS DMS and AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT)

- Oracle GoldenGate

- PostgreSQL Administration & Performance Tuning

- Database Migration & Modernisation experience

- Shell/Python scripting and automation

- Cloud monitoring and operational support

Good to have

- Experience with AWS Keyspaces / Cassandra

- AWS Certification (Solutions Architect / Database Specialty)

- Experience supporting large enterprise environments with 100+ databases

Environment

- 120 Oracle Databases on AWS EC2

- 25 Oracle Databases on AWS RDS

- 120 PostgreSQL Databases on AWS RDS





- AWS DMS, GoldenGate, PostgreSQL, and AWS Keyspaces (Cassandra) initiatives underway
