Role Description: An experienced Senior Optometrist will provide comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction, contact lens evaluation, and assessment of ocular health for patients across age groups.

Responsibilities include interpreting clinical findings, advising on corrective lenses, supporting pre- and post-operative care, and collaborating with ophthalmologists on treatment plans. The role involves documenting patient history accurately, maintaining clinical records, and educating patients on eye health, preventive care, and use of prescribed visual aids. The Optometrist will also assist in managing clinic flow,



ensuring effective patient service and adherence to clinical protocols.

This is a full-time, on-site role based at Spectra Eye Hospital in Rajarhat.

Qualifications

- Recognized degree or diploma in Optometry from an accredited institution, with relevant registration or licensure as applicable.
- Several years of hands-on clinical experience in refraction, contact lens fitting, and basic ocular health assessment.
- Strong knowledge of common eye conditions, visual disorders, and standard diagnostic procedures used in ophthalmic practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively with ophthalmologists, nurses, and support staff in a busy hospital environment.
- Effective communication skills for counseling patients, explaining diagnoses, and providing clear guidance on treatment and follow-up.
- Proficiency in using modern optometric and ophthalmic equipment, and comfort with maintaining accurate electronic or paper medical records.
- Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care and sensitivity to patients from diverse social and economic backgrounds.
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in Rajarhat, with flexibility to support hospital schedules as needed.
