Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager – Transport to manage day-to-day transportation operations, fleet movement, drivers, route planning and overall service delivery. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth, safe and cost-effective transport operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day transport and fleet operations.
- Plan and monitor vehicle deployment, routes and trip schedules.
- Manage drivers, transport supervisors and operational staff.
- Ensure timely vehicle placement, pickup and delivery.
- Monitor vehicle tracking/GPS and resolve delays, breakdowns and route issues.
- Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle utilization and transportation costs.
- Coordinate with transporters, vendors, customers and internal teams.
- Ensure vehicle documents, permits, insurance and compliance are maintained.
- Handle driver-related issues, attendance, performance and discipline.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly transport MIS reports.
- Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, fleet utilization, fuel efficiency and vehicle downtime.
- Identify opportunities for route optimization and cost reduction.




- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company SOPs.
- Handle operational escalations and provide quick solutions.

Candidate Requirements
- Graduate/Diploma in Logistics, Transport, Supply Chain or a related field.
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in transport/fleet/logistics operations.
- Strong experience in fleet and driver management.
- Good knowledge of route planning and GPS/vehicle tracking systems.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MIS reporting.
- Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
- Positive problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Ability to manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.
