Role & responsibilities
- Prepare the OT, instruments, equipment, and consumables before procedures.
- Assist doctors and the surgical team during OT procedures.
- Maintain proper sterilization, disinfection, and infection-control standards.
- Handle and maintain OT instruments and equipment efficiently.
- Ensure availability and proper arrangement of surgical supplies and consumables.
- Assist with patient preparation and positioning as required.
- Follow biomedical waste management and OT safety protocols.
- Maintain OT registers, records, and procedure-related documentation.
- Coordinate with nursing, anesthesia, housekeeping, and other clinical teams.
- Ensure the OT is cleaned, organized, and ready for the next procedure.
- Immediately report equipment issues, stock shortages, or safety concerns to the concerned authority.
