About The Job:

- The OpenShift L4 Engineer provides expert-level support, troubleshooting, and optimization for the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform within the financial firm's private cloud environment.

- This role handles the most complex technical challenges, ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical containerized applications.

Essential Job Functions:

- Serve as a subject matter expert for OpenShift Container Platform architecture, components, and best practices.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex L4 incidents related to OpenShift clusters, including networking, storage, authentication, and application deployments.

- Perform advanced cluster diagnostics, performance tuning, and capacity management.

- Design and implement automation for OpenShift operations, upgrades, and maintenance.

- Collaborate with application development teams to optimize containerized workloads and troubleshoot application-level issues on OpenShift.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.

- Contribute to the evolution and roadmap of the OpenShift platform.

Qualifications

- Experience: 6+ years of experience in container orchestration, with at least 3-4 years dedicated to Red Hat OpenShift in an enterprise setting.

- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in OpenShift (OCP) administration, networking (SDN, OVN-Kubernetes), storage (OpenShift Container Storage/Ceph, persistent volumes), and authentication (LDAP, OpenID Connect). Strong knowledge of Kubernetes fundamentals, Docker, and Linux. Scripting (Bash, Python) and automation (Ansible) skills.

- Education:



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience. Red Hat certifications (e.g., RHCE, Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration) highly preferred.

- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage critical incidents.
