Nurse Manager – Ward, ICU & Emergency

We are looking for an experienced and competent Nurse Manager to oversee nursing operations across the Ward, ICU, and Emergency Department. The role will be responsible for ensuring quality patient care, effective manpower management, clinical compliance, and smooth coordination with doctors and other hospital departments.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise day-to-day nursing operations across Ward, ICU, and Emergency.
- Ensure adequate nursing manpower, duty allocation, shift planning, and staff deployment.
- Monitor nursing standards and ensure protected, efficient, and compassionate patient care.
- Handle emergency situations, critical patients, and escalation of clinical concerns.
- Coordinate with consultants, doctors, nursing teams, and other departments for smooth patient management.
- Ensure compliance with hospital SOPs, clinical protocols, infection-control practices, and patient-safety standards.
- Conduct regular rounds and monitor nursing practices, documentation, medication administration, and patient monitoring.
- Manage staff performance, training, orientation, competency assessments, and counselling.
- Ensure proper handover and takeover between shifts.
- Monitor nursing documentation, incident reports, medication errors, and clinical escalations.




- Handle patient and relative concerns professionally and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain readiness of ICU, Emergency, and Ward for critical situations and emergencies.
- Monitor availability and proper use of medical equipment, emergency supplies, and consumables.
- Support audits, accreditation requirements, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
- Prepare and monitor nursing-related reports, attendance, leave, and manpower requirements.
- Ensure discipline, professional conduct, and adherence to hospital policies among nursing staff.

Qualifications
- B.Sc Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.
- Valid nursing registration.
- Relevant experience in Ward, ICU, and Emergency nursing operations.

Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably with supervisory/managerial exposure.
- Experience handling ICU, Ward, and Emergency operations will be preferred.
