Job Summary
Marengo Asia Hospitals, Gurugram, is looking for an experienced and passionate Nursing Educator to join our Nursing Education team. The role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering clinical education and training programs for nursing staff, ensuring compliance with clinical standards, hospital protocols, patient safety practices, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate should have strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication and training skills, and the ability to develop and assess nursing competencies in a hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct induction, orientation, and ongoing training programs for nursing staff.
- Develop and deliver classroom, bedside, simulation-based, and competency-based training.
- Conduct regular clinical skill assessments and competency evaluations for nursing personnel.
- Identify training needs based on clinical audits, incident reports, quality indicators, and departmental requirements.
- Develop and update training materials, presentations, competency checklists, SOPs, and educational resources.

- Patient safety and infection prevention
- Medication safety
- BLS/Basic Life Support and emergency response
- Nursing procedures and clinical protocols
- Documentation and nursing records
- Infection control practices
- Patient identification and communication
- Critical care and other specialty-specific nursing practices
- Coordinate and monitor mandatory and periodic nursing training programs.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, competency assessments, training calendars, and staff performance.
- Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure training effectiveness.
- Work closely with Nursing Leadership, Clinical Departments, Quality, Infection Control, and HR/L&D; teams.
- Support implementation of hospital policies, clinical protocols, accreditation standards, and patient safety initiatives.
- Participate in nursing audits and assist in developing corrective and preventive training plans.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to newly joined and existing nursing staff.
- Stay updated with current nursing practices, clinical guidelines, and healthcare education methodologies.
Candidate Profile
- Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing.
- Valid registration with the respective State Nursing Council.
- Relevant experience in Nursing Education, Clinical Training, Staff Development, or Hospital Nursing.
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of nursing procedures and patient safety practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train nurses across different experience levels and clinical specialties.
- Experience with competency-based assessment and clinical skill training will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of hospital accreditation and quality standards such as NABH will be preferred.
Experience Preferred: 3to 8 years of relevant nursing experience, including experience in nursing education/training.
Candidates with strong clinical experience and a demonstrated interest in nursing education may also be considered.
