Job Purpose To plan, coordinate, and deliver nursing education and clinical training programs to ensure high standards of clinical competency, patient safety, and skilled nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct induction and orientation programs for newly joined nursing staff.
- Plan and conduct regular clinical teaching and competency-based training.
- Organize demonstrations, workshops, skill training, and CNE programs.
- Develop and update nursing training materials, protocols, and competency checklists.
- Assess nursing staff knowledge and clinical skills and identify training needs.
- Ensure compliance with nursing policies, infection-control practices, and patient-safety standards.
- Maintain training records, attendance, competency assessments, and educational documentation.
- Coordinate with Nursing Administration and clinical departments for staff training.
- Support hospital accreditation, audits, inspections, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor nursing staff and promote evidence-based nursing practices.
Qualification
- B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the State Nursing Council.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant clinical and/or nursing teaching experience.
