Role & responsibilities:

This position is responsible for recent and existing HV/EHV cable product development and is responsible for providing process support to solve material and design related issues

Key Result Areas:

- Preparing Technical Particulars / Design Datasheets & Cross-sectional drawings for EHV, HV, MV XLPE, Solar, MVCC Cables as per Indian & International standards
- Preparing manufacturing guidelines for plant production team
- Knowledge of Indian Standards (IS) & International Standards (IEC, BS, AS/NZS, UL etc)
- Raw material estimation (Bill of material) calculation for cable costing
- Calculations of all Electrical parameters applicable for HV/EHV cable
- Calculation of accessories for EHV cable turnkey projects along with cable system design




- Ability to design new products
- Knowledge about Raw materials of HV/EHV cable
- Knowledge about HV/EHV cable testing
- Familiar with SAP/AutoCAD / CYMCAP

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelors in engineering with Minimum 8 years experience in HV/EHV cable design
- Knowledge of standards: IS, IEC, BS, EN
- Electrical parameter calculations (ampacity, thermal, dielectric etc.)
- Cable/accessories design & system compatibility
- Testing requirements and validation protocols
- Failure analysis & root cause identification
