General Information

Role: Network Security

Locations: Pan India

Minimum Experience: 10-12 Years

- The Network Engineer will be responsible for operational support, maintenance, optimization, and enhancement of Viva Energy's enterprise network infrastructure across corporate offices, refinery operations, terminals, and retail site connectivity environments.
- The role will support business-critical network services including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, firewall, network security, internet connectivity, cloud networking, and remote site communications.
- The engineers will work closely with infrastructure leads, security teams, cloud engineers, offshore support teams, and service providers to ensure a secure, reliable, and high-performing network setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Network Operations and Support
- Provide L2/L3 support for enterprise network infrastructure across corporate, refinery, terminal, and retail environments.
- Monitor network performance, availability, utilization, capacity, and service health.
- Troubleshoot network incidents, perform root cause analysis, and support permanent fix implementation.
- Support incident, problem, change, request, and major incident management processes.
- Maintain operational documentation, network diagrams, configuration records, standard operating procedures, and knowledge articles.

WAN and Branch Connectivity
- Support enterprise LAN and WAN environments including routing, switching, VLANs, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and segmentation.
- Support business fibre, carrier connectivity, internet circuits, and branch network services.
- Coordinate with telecommunications providers for circuit provisioning, outage management, and performance troubleshooting.
- Participate in network upgrades, hardware refresh, migration, and site deployment activities.
- SD-WAN and Wireless
- Administer and support Cisco Meraki SD-WAN environments including MX, MS, and MR platforms.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize branch connectivity, wireless performance, and application access experience.
- Support wireless infrastructure, access point deployments, coverage reviews, and branch network readiness activities.
- Assist with network performance tuning, capacity planning, standardization, and continuous improvement.
- Network Security and Firewall Support
- Support Fortinet / FortiGate firewall environments including rule changes, policy reviews, and security remediation actions.
- Support Cisco Identity Services Engine (Client), network access control, segmentation, and secure access requirements.
- Assist with firewall, VPN, remote access, proxy, and network security troubleshooting.
- Support compliance with operational, security, and change governance processes.
