About The Job:

- This expert role will partner with project management, cybersecurity leadership, and ServiceNow developers to enhance request workflows, ensure best practices in firewall governance, and contribute to the development of a compelling business case for future investments.

Essential Job Functions:

Firewall Rulebase Audit & Optimization

- Perform a thorough review and audit of global firewall rulesets to identify outdated, redundant, or risky entries.

- Define and document firewall optimization recommendations in alignment with organizational security standards.

- Assist local IT and security teams in rule cleanup planning and validation.

Firewall Request Process Review

- Analyze and audit current processes for firewall change and access requests.

- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and policy misalignments in the existing workflow.

- Collaborate with ServiceNow developers to streamline and adjust request forms and approval logic where necessary.

Support for 2026 SOAR RFP Preparation

- Conduct market research on SOAR solutions, capabilities, and industry trends.

- Support the project manager with the development of business case documentation and initial RFP draft content.





- Engage with vendors and gather preliminary solution capabilities for evaluation.

Governance & Documentation

- Provide documentation and recommendations for improved firewall management practices.

- Ensure that audit findings and workflow enhancements are fully documented and socialized with stakeholders.

- Contribute to the development of a lightweight governance model around firewall change control.

Qualifications

Work Experience

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with enterprise network security, particularly firewall administration and policy management.

- Proven experience conducting firewall rule audits in complex environments (multi-vendor preferred: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, etc.).

- Familiarity with ITIL-based change processes and integration with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.

- Experience participating in RFI/RFP development and vendor assessments.

- Exposure to SOAR solutions or security automation tools is a must.

- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, particularly in reviewing technical configurations and documentation.

- Ability to collaborate across technical, business, and vendor teams.

- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Education

- University degree in Computer Science, Network Security,



or equivalent technical discipline.

- Industry certifications such as CCNP Security, PCNSE, or equivalent are highly desirable.

- ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
