Job Title - MS Fabric Engineer

Experience – 5 to 10 Yrs

Work Location – Bangalore, Hyderabad, Gurugram and Chennai

Mode of Employment – Contract (6 Months)

Role Overview The MS Fabric Engineer will design, build, and manage the Microsoft Fabric (OneLake) data platform for a leading Telecom domain project. This role focuses on creating scalable data pipelines, enabling analytics, and supporting reporting across multiple customer segments.

Key Responsibilities

1. 1. Data Platform Development

- Develop and implement MS Fabric / OneLake architecture
- Build and manage Lakehouses, Warehouses, and Data Pipelines
- Develop scalable data models for analytics and reporting

1. 2. Data Integration

- Ingest data from GCP (BigQuery, Kafka pipelines) into MS Fabric
- Build robust pipelines using Azure Data Factory / Fabric pipelines
- Ensure data quality, lineage, and audit readiness

1. 3. Collaboration & Data Exposure

- Work with API (DxL/Node.js) teams to define data contracts
- Support structured datasets for downstream consumption
- Align data models with reporting and API requirements
- Validate data integrity with each of the source systems before downstream consumption.

1. 4. Reporting Enablement

- Enable Power BI datasets and semantic models
- Optimize performance (DirectLake / Import modes)




- Support reporting teams with data models and DAX guidance

1. 5. Data Modeling & Security

- Build segment-specific data models (SMB, Managed Services, etc.)
- Maintain consistent business logic and data definitions

1. 6. Platform Operations & Governance

- Ensure CI/CD deployments across environments (Dev → Prod)
- Implement and own monitoring, governance, and data quality checks

Core Skills & Experience

Must Have:

1. 4+ years in Data Engineering (MS Fabric / Azure Data Factory / Synapse)
2. Solid SQL and PySpark / Spark SQL skills
3. Experience with Data Lakes, Lakehouse architecture, and pipelines
4. Exposure to GCP (BigQuery integration)
5. Strong Power BI semantic modeling knowledge

Good to Have:

- Kafka or streaming data experience
- Node.js / API data exposure experience
- Microsoft Fabric or Azure certifications
- Experience in billing/telecom/data-heavy domains
