The Mould Process Engineer role leads injection moulding operations within an automotive manufacturing workplace. The position combines production leadership, process control, equipment coordination, team development, and structured problem-solving to support product quality, operational efficiency, and timely output.

Responsibilities

- Lead the injection moulding team and oversee production processes to ensure operational efficiency, product quality, and timely output

- Maintain and troubleshoot injection moulding machines and coordinate equipment upkeep to support uninterrupted production

- Develop and implement production schedules aligned with customer requirements and delivery timelines

- Train and mentor new employees on process standards, machine operation, and safe working practices

- Manage raw material and finished goods inventory to support effective production planning

- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to identify and resolve production-related issues

- Coordinate across shifts to ensure effective handovers, clear communication, and continuity of operations

- Prepare and submit accurate daily production reports within established timelines

- Analyse production challenges using structured problem-solving techniques and prepare reports for review meetings

- Conduct daily review meetings and assign weekly targets to shift engineers





- Apply structured problem-solving techniques to support process improvement activities

- Monitor maintenance measures, including Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR)

- Maintain relevant maintenance documentation and standard reports

- Support compliance with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 and International Automotive Task Force (IATF) 16949 quality management standards

- Monitor auxiliary equipment used with moulding machines, including Mould Temperature Controllers (MTCs), chillers, robots, and dryers

- Apply knowledge of plastics used within the automotive industry

- Troubleshoot production issues relating to raw materials and support corrective actions

Requirements

- Practical knowledge of injection moulding processes, machines, auxiliary equipment, and automotive plastics

- Understanding of production planning, inventory management, maintenance documentation, and daily production reporting

- Knowledge of structured problem-solving techniques, MTBF, MTTR, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949

- Ability to lead production teams, train employees, coordinate across shifts, and collaborate with cross-functional departments
