Senior Micro Focus COBOL Developer

- 6+ years of experience in

COBOL application development

- Robust hands-on expertise in

Micro Focus COBOL 6.4

is required.

- Experience with
Micro Focus Visual COBOL, Enterprise Developer, and Enterprise Server

.

- Design, develop, test, debug, enhance, and maintain complex COBOL applications.

- Analyze and optimize existing legacy COBOL applications and resolve defects.

- Experience in legacy application modernization and re-platforming initiatives.

- Strong understanding of

SDLC

, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

- Hands-on experience with unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support

.

- Strong production support experience with troubleshooting and incident resolution.

- Good knowledge of
SQL and relational databases such as DB2, SQL Server, or Oracle.

- Experience with version control tools such as

Git, SVN, or TFS

- Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and code-review skills.

- Ability to create technical documentation and collaborate with business/technical teams.

- Good communication skills and ability to mentor junior developers.
