About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Merchandiser Logistics & Order Coordination to join our buying-house operations in Gurugram/Delhi NCR. The role will coordinate purchase orders, supplier follow-ups, inspections, international shipments and product compliance for our US clients.

The successful candidate will act as a key link between suppliers, field inspection teams, freight partners and US buyers, ensuring that orders move smoothly from production through final shipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Purchase Order & Production Coordination: Track all purchase orders from placement through shipment; follow up with suppliers on production status and ensure adherence to committed delivery dates.
- PO MIS & Reporting: Maintain an accurate and continuously updated tracker covering PO status, inspection schedules, shipment status and outstanding actions.
- Supplier Coordination: Work closely with multiple suppliers to resolve production, documentation and shipment-related issues.
- Field Inspection Coordination: Provide daily schedules and priorities to field inspection officers, identifying orders requiring inspection and ensuring inspections are completed before shipment.
- Sea Freight: Prepare container load plans, calculate container requirements, coordinate bookings with shipping lines/freight forwarders and liaise with suppliers and customs-clearing agents.
- Air Freight & Consolidation:



Coordinate air shipments and consolidation of cargo from multiple suppliers at the freight agent's Delhi warehouse.
- Courier Control: Manage courier shipments to US buyers, ensure cargo is dispatched only after proper authorisation, maintain courier records and audit monthly courier invoices before forwarding approved bills for payment.
- Product Testing & Compliance: Coordinate dispatch of samples for recent collections to approved testing laboratories; track reports and annual re-testing requirements; maintain complete compliance records and forward final documentation to the US Compliance team.
- Exception Management: Proactively flag potential production delays, shipment issues, testing failures or documentation gaps before they affect delivery schedules.

Preferred candidate profile

- Prior experience in merchandising, buying-house operations, export logistics, freight forwarding or supply-chain coordination.
- Experience working with US buyers/export shipments is strongly preferred.
- Practical knowledge of sea freight, air freight, container planning and shipment documentation.
- Strong supplier follow-up and order-management skills.
- Excellent command of Excel/MIS and PO tracking.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple suppliers and orders simultaneously.
- Comfortable coordinating independently with suppliers, inspection teams, freight agents and overseas clients.
- Experience with home textiles, rugs, carpets, home furnishings or handicraft exports would be an advantage.
