Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review and coordinate MEP design drawings for high-rise residential and commercial projects.
- Design and coordinate HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting and ELV systems as applicable.
- Prepare detailed layouts, schematic drawings, single-line diagrams and coordinated MEP drawings.
- Review architectural, structural and MEP drawings to identify clashes and design conflicts.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, contractors and site teams for smooth execution.
- Review consultant drawings and ensure designs are practical, technically sound and suitable for site execution.
- Conduct design coordination and clash detection using AutoCAD/Revit/Navisworks or similar tools.
- Assist in preparation and review of BOQs, specifications, material requirements and technical submissions.
- Provide technical solutions for site-related MEP design issues and support the execution team.
- Ensure MEP designs comply with applicable IS codes, NBC, fire-safety requirements and project specifications.
- Attend design coordination meetings and maintain proper documentation of revisions and approvals.
- Monitor design changes and ensure the latest approved drawings are issued to the site team.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and building services design.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP / BIM and Navisworks will be preferred.
- Good understanding of high-rise residential building services.
- Ability to read and coordinate architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of MEP design calculations, specifications and technical standards.
- Solid coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to identify design issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
- Good knowledge of MS Office.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline.
- Diploma holders with strong relevant design experience may also be considered.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in high-rise residential / real estate construction projects.
- Candidates with experience working with MEP consultants, developers or construction companies will be preferred.
- Should have strong exposure to design coordination rather than only site execution.
- Ability to independently handle MEP design coordination for a project.
