Roles and Responsibilities :
- 5+ years of experience in medical data abstraction Strong experience in oncology data abstraction Knowledge of oncology terminology, diagnoses, treatments, staging, and clinical documentation
Experience working with EMR/EHR and medical records
Ability to review and abstract accurate clinical information from patient charts
Knowledge of cancer types, treatment modalities, pathology, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgical procedures
Robust understanding of medical terminology and clinical documentation
High attention to detail and accuracy
Job Requirements :
- Experience with oncology registries / cancer registry abstraction
Knowledge of ICD, CPT, ICD-O and related medical coding/classification systems Experience working with healthcare/clinical data projects
Strong analytical and documentation skills
