Role Description The Medical Laboratory Technician will perform routine and specialized laboratory tests to support diabetes diagnosis, monitoring, and management. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting and processing samples, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, adhering to standard operating procedures, and documenting results accurately in laboratory information systems. The role involves working closely with clinicians and clinical staff to ensure timely and reliable test reporting, participating in quality control and safety programs, and maintaining a clean,



compliant laboratory environment.

This is a full time, on-site role based at Dr. Mohan's Diabetes Specialities Centre in Tiruppur.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in medical technology and laboratory medicine, with the ability to perform relevant diagnostic tests accurately and safely.
- Proficiency in core laboratory skills, including sample collection, handling, preparation, and basic troubleshooting of test procedures.
- Experience with quality control practices, including calibration, validation, documentation, and adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment, including operation, routine maintenance, and reporting equipment-related issues promptly.
- Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Knowledge of clinical safety, infection control, and biomedical waste management protocols.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work efficiently in a high-volume clinical environment.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably in endocrinology or diabetes care, is an advantage.
