Role Description The Mechanical Maintenance Head is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat, responsible for leading the mechanical maintenance function across plant operations. This position oversees preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment, including production machinery, utilities, and material handling systems, to ensure consistent uptime and optimal performance. The role involves planning maintenance schedules, troubleshooting breakdowns, coordinating with vendors for spare parts and services, and maintaining documentation for inspections and compliance.

The Mechanical Maintenance

Head will manage and mentor the maintenance team, implement safety standards,



and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime. Collaboration with production, quality, and project teams is expected to support recent installations, modifications, and capacity enhancement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting skills, with experience in rotating equipment, material handling systems, and utility machinery.
- Candidates should possess skills in maintenance planning, preventive and predictive maintenance, and spare parts management.
- Candidates should possess skills in team leadership, people management, and cross-functional coordination.
- Candidates should possess skills in safety practices, risk assessment, and compliance with industrial standards and regulations.
- Candidates should possess skills in interpreting technical drawings, using maintenance tools and diagnostic instruments, and maintaining accurate maintenance records.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred, with significant experience in plant or industrial maintenance.
- Experience in building materials, cement, or similar manufacturing industries, and familiarity with lean maintenance or TPM methodologies, will be an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving ability, effective communication skills, and readiness to work on-site in Surat on a full-time basis are expected.
