URGENT : We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in Packaging Machinery. Experience in Tube Filling & Sealing Machines, Bottle Filling Machines, Capping, Labeling or similar packaging machines is strongly preferred.

Role Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in Packaging Machinery design.

This is NOT a general pharmaceutical equipment design role. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing or developing packaging machines such as Tube Filling & Sealing Machines, Bottle Filling Machines.

Experience in pharmaceutical, cosmetic industrial packaging machinery will be highly preferred.

Salary : 2.5 to 4.5 LPA

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop pharmaceutical, cosmetic and industrial packaging machinery.
- Work specifically on machines such as:
- Tube Filling & Sealing Machines
- Bottle Filling Machines
- Capping Machines
- Labeling Machines
- Liquid / Cream / Ointment Filling Systems
- Conveyors and Material Handling Systems
- Special Purpose Machines (SPMs)
- Convert customer requirements and machine concepts into 3D models, assemblies and production-ready designs.
- Design machine components including frames, shafts, rollers, brackets, guards, fixtures, mechanisms, pneumatic assemblies and other mechanical systems.
- Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings,



fabrication drawings and detailed component drawings.
- Create and maintain accurate BOMs (Bill of Materials) and engineering documentation.
- Select appropriate materials, bearings, gears, belts, chains, couplings, linear guides, motors, pneumatic components and standard machine elements.
- Apply appropriate fits, tolerances, GD&T;, surface finishes, machining and fabrication methods.
- Work closely with Production, Purchase, Electrical/Automation, Assembly, Projects and Service teams.
- Participate in machine assembly, machine trials, FAT, troubleshooting and design modifications.
- Incorporate shop-floor and customer feedback into design improvements.
- Take ownership of designs from concept detailed design manufacturing assembly machine trial commissioning.

Mandatory / Preferred Machine Experience

Candidates with hands-on design experience in any of the following packaging machinery will be strongly preferred:

Tube Filling & Sealing Machines | Bottle Filling Machines | Capping Machines | Labeling Machines | Liquid Filling Machines | Cream/Ointment Filling Machines | Packaging Machines | Conveyors | SPMs | Industrial Automation Machinery

Candidates from general mechanical design backgrounds without experience in machine/packaging machinery design may not be suitable for this position.

Candidate Profile :

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical/machine design.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in Packaging Machinery / Filling Machinery / SPM / Industrial Automation Machine Design.
- Hands-on experience with 3D CAD modelling and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Experience with SolidWorks will be highly preferred.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Solid Edge or similar CAD software is an advantage.
- Knowledge of servo/stepper mechanisms, sensors and automation interfaces will be an advantage.
- Should be comfortable working with shop-floor and assembly teams.
- Should be willing to participate in machine trials, troubleshooting and design modifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and practical approach to machine design.
