- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals.

- Good understanding of machine design and mechanical components.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or equivalent.

- Ability to read and prepare engineering and fabrication drawings.

- Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerances, fits, welding symbols, and fabrication practices.

- Knowledge of material selection and manufacturing processes.

- Understanding of machining, sheet-metal fabrication, structural fabrication, welding, and assembly.

- Knowledge of bearings, shafts, gears, chains, belts, couplings, gearboxes, and other power-transmission components.

- Ability to prepare accurate BOMs and engineering documentation.

- Ability to work effectively with production and shop-floor teams.

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

- 2–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical/machine design.
