Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer with expertise in fire fighting systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining fire fighting solutions as per project requirements and industry standards. This role requires a deep understanding of fire safety regulations, system design, and installation practices.

Role & responsibilities

1. Fire Fighting Systems:

- Design and review firefighting systems, including fire pumps, sprinkler systems, hydrants, and suppression systems.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, BIS, and local fire safety codes.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of fire fighting systems.

2. Plumbing & Drainage Systems:

- Design and execute plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and waste management networks.
- Plan and manage storm water drainage systems to ensure effective water flow and prevent flooding.
- Supervise and resolve issues in drainage pipelines, pumps, and sump systems.

3. Sewage Treatment Plants (STP):

- Design and implement STP systems, ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
- Monitor the installation, operation, and maintenance of STPs and associated equipment.

4. Project Management:

- Coordinate with architects,



contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems into project designs.
- Prepare and review DBR, BOQs, technical specifications, and design drawings.
- Ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to quality and budget requirements.

5. Maintenance & Inspections:

- Conduct routine inspections and audits of fire fighting, plumbing, and drainage systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain system performance and compliance.

Preferred candidate profile

- Education: Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience: 5–7 years of relevant experience in Fire Fighting, Plumbing & Drainage, Storm Water Drainage, and STP systems.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Fire Fighting System Design, Fire Pumps, Plumbing, Drainage and STP Design & Commissioning.
- Software & Codes: Proficiency in AutoCAD and hydraulic modelling software, with good knowledge of NFPA, NBC, BIS/IS Codes and CPHEEO guidelines.
- Core Competencies: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and coordination skills, with the ability to manage site execution and project stakeholders.
