Mechanical Design Engineer

Experience: 5–10 Years | Qualification: B.Tech /B.E. – Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering | Location: Hyderabad

Role Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with solid hands-on CAD skills and engineering analysis. The candidate will be responsible for developing detailed 3D designs, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, and supporting analysis for mechanical and aerospace systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop detailed 3D models, components, and assemblies in SolidWorks.
- Prepare manufacturing/fabrication drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, GD&T;, materials, and surface finishes.
- Create and maintain BOMs, assembly drawings, and design documentation.
- Design sheet-metal, structural, machined, and fabricated components.
- Perform engineering calculations and support structural/mechanical analysis and FEA.
- Interpret analysis results and incorporate design improvements.
- Coordinate with manufacturing/fabrication teams for DFM and assembly requirements.
- Support prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and design iterations.
- Prepare engineering layouts and drawings using AutoCAD.





Required Skills

- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD– Mandatory.
- Ability to create detailed, production-ready 3D designs and assemblies.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, fits, and materials.
- Knowledge of strength of materials, machine design, and basic structural analysis.
- Familiarity with ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, or other CAE tools.
- Good understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel to different test locations in the country for product trials and testing.

Preferred

- Experience in aerospace, UAV, aerostat, or advanced mechanical systems.
- Exposure to FEA/CFD, lightweight structures, composites, or sheet-metal design.
- Experience with prototype development and testing.

Minimum Qualification B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering with 5–10 years of relevant experience.
