MASTER INLAY ARTISAN / FINE WOOD CRAFTSMAN WANTED — MYSURU
Wood Brass Inlay Sacred Geometry Fine Carpentry
Redhills Nature Resort is establishing a small specialist craft workshop in Mysuru, dedicated to creating beautiful, highly detailed pieces in wood and metal.
We are looking for an exceptional artisan / master craftsman to become part of this workshop.
This is not an ordinary carpenter position.
We are searching for someone who loves precision, intricate handwork and beautiful craftsmanship — and who is interested in combining traditional skills with new designs and ideas.
THE CRAFT
We are particularly interested in experience with:
- Brass wire / brass strip inlay into wood
- Traditional Mysuru wood inlay
- Marquetry and decorative woodwork
- Fine hand carving
- Precision furniture making & joinery
- Intricate geometric pattern work
- Mandalas, yantras, rosettes & sacred geometry
- Traditional Indian and Islamic geometric patterns
- Restoration and heritage craftsmanship
- Working with rosewood, teak and other fine hardwoods
You do not need to already be a sacred-geometry specialist. What matters is exceptional craftsmanship, patience, precision and the ability to understand a drawing or pattern and bring it to life beautifully in wood and brass.
WHAT WE WANT TO CREATE:
Our Mysuru workshop will develop custom pieces for Redhills Nature Resort and other special projects, including:
Some pieces may be rooted in traditional Mysuru craftsmanship. Others may explore completely new designs. We want the workshop to be a place where traditional Indian craftsmanship meets contemporary design, geometry and experimentation.

LOCATION:
Mysuru, Karnataka The successful artisan will work primarily from our recent workshop in Mysuru.
There may occasionally be opportunities to visit Redhills Nature Resort in Tamil Nadu to install pieces, understand spaces and work on special projects.
COMPENSATION:
Salary / compensation will depend on experience and craftsmanship.
We are interested in developing a long-term relationship with the right artisan.
