AFTER 6 MONTHS | LEAD
Full-Time Role — Deputy MarCom Manager
This is where the programme can become a career.
Candidates who successfully complete the six-month programme and demonstrate the required level of performance and leadership potential will be considered for a full-time position as Deputy MarCom Manager at Niyaz & Co.
As Deputy MarCom Manager, you will be expected to take significantly greater ownership of the brand's MarCom ecosystem, including:
- Develop and execute integrated Marketing and communications strategies aligned with the brand’s positioning and business objectives.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key media, editors, journalists, influencers, designers, and industry stakeholders.
- Manage influencer, creator, media, and industry relationships to build sustained brand relevance and visibility.
- Conceptualize and execute PR campaigns, brand narratives, launches, and storytelling initiatives that strengthen the brand’s identity.
- Identify and develop strategic collaborations, partnerships, and cross-industry opportunities that contribute to brand growth.
- Own PR and Marcom calendars, ensuring proactive planning and timely execution of campaigns, launches, events, editorial opportunities, and key brand moments.
- Lead and support product launches, events, media previews, brand activations, and other high-visibility initiatives.
- Proactively identify and create opportunities for editorial coverage, thought leadership, features, interviews, and organic brand visibility.
- Strengthen the brand’s presence and positioning within the luxury interiors, lifestyle, architecture, and design ecosystem.
- Work closely with internal teams, creative partners, agencies, designers, media, and external stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective brand communication.
- Track campaign performance, media outcomes, relationships, and visibility initiatives, translating learnings into actionable recommendations.
- Take increasing ownership of Marcom strategy, moving beyond execution into planning, decision-making, prospect identification, and measurable impact.
- As the function grows, take on responsibility for mentoring, guiding, and eventually managing junior MarCom and Marcom resources.
Growth & Full-Time OpportunityThis role is designed to provide meaningful exposure to the strategic and executional aspects of PR and Marcom. Over the course of the engagement, we expect the individual to demonstrate increasing ownership, sound judgement, creativity, relationship-building ability, and the capacity to think beyond individual tasks.
A full-time role is not an automatic or guaranteed outcome. Any opportunity to continue in a full-time capacity will be based on successful completion of the engagement, demonstrated performance, capability, ownership, and mutual fit with the organisation and role.
Who We're Looking ForWe aren't simply looking for someone with a MarCom degree or an impressive CV.
We're looking for potential — someone who is curious, proactive, commercially aware, and genuinely interested in understanding how brands are built and positioned.
We're looking for someone who:
- Thinks beyond the brief and actively identifies opportunities.
- Can balance strategic thinking with strong execution.
- Is naturally curious about media, culture, design, luxury, lifestyle, and changing consumer behaviour.
- Builds relationships thoughtfully and understands the value of long-term connections.
- Has strong communication, organisation, and follow-through.
- Is comfortable taking ownership and being accountable for outcomes.
- Brings ideas to the table rather than waiting for instructions.
- Is willing to learn, adapt, and grow into a leadership-oriented Marcom role.
- Understands that great PR is not just about coverage — it is about building relevance, reputation, relationships, and long-term brand value.
What We Value
- Initiative
- You don't wait for someone to tell you what to do.
2. MarCom Instinct
- You can recognise a story, opportunity or relationship before it becomes obvious.
3. Communication
- You understand that different people require different conversations.
4. Taste
- You understand the visual, emotional and cultural language of luxury.
5. Ownership
- You care about outcomes, not just completing tasks.
6. Curiosity
- You actively learn about media, people, brands, design and culture.
7. Persistence
- You understand that meaningful PR relationships are built over time.
A Different Kind of MarCom Internship We don't want someone whose definition of MarCom is simply:
“Send emails → follow up → wait for coverage.”
We want someone who asks:
“What can we make people care about?”
Someone who can turn a product into a story.
A story into a conversation.
And a conversation into a relationship.
If you want to build a career in luxury MarCom and eventually take ownership of the MarCom function of a growing luxury brand, this opportunity is designed for you.
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a practical MarCom Challenge.
The Challenge
You have one Niyaz & Co decor object and ₹0 advertising budget.
Your objective
Make the right people talk about it within 30 days.
We want to see your:
- Creativity
- MarCom thinking
- Luxury positioning
- Storytelling
- Resourcefulness
- Understanding of media and relationships
- Ability to turn an idea into an actionable plan
We're more interested in how you think than how polished your presentation looks.
