SSO Cancer Hospitals

Mumbai

About the Role

SSO Cancer Hospitals is looking for a Marketing Associate – Offline Marketing (BTL) to plan and execute on-ground marketing initiatives across our hospitals, doctors, specialties and locations. This is a highly execution-oriented role for someone who enjoys being on the ground, coordinating with multiple stakeholders and taking ownership of campaigns from planning to execution.

The role spans offline marketing, hospital branding, events and activations, partnerships, local area marketing, vendor management and referral-focused initiatives, and calls for someone who combines strong execution with an understanding of the business objective behind every marketing activity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Offline Marketing Strategy & Local Area Marketing

- Develop and execute offline marketing initiatives aligned with business and hospital objectives across SSO locations, doctors, specialties and Centres of Excellence.
- Build location-specific and specialty-specific plans, including hyperlocal initiatives around each hospital and clinic.
- Identify high-potential residential, commercial, healthcare and community catchments, and opportunities to strengthen SSO's presence within them.
- Coordinate campaigns from concept and planning through execution and reporting, working with hospital and business teams.
- Track responses generated through each offline initiative.
- Ensure all offline activity is consistent with SSO's brand positioning and communication guidelines.

2. Events & On-Ground Activations

- Plan and execute health awareness programs, screening camps, patient education and community outreach initiatives, doctor and CME events, centre and specialty launches, hospital events, conferences, society, corporate and referral-network activations, and patient and caregiver engagement initiatives.
- Own venue coordination, branding, collateral, vendors, logistics, registrations, internal coordination and post-event reporting.

3. Hospital Branding, Creative & Collateral

- Manage offline branding across SSO locations, including production and installation of signage, posters, standees, banners, backdrops, directional signage, patient information material, brochures and leaflets, doctor and specialty collateral, and event branding.
- Conduct periodic branding and collateral audits and ensure outdated or incorrect material is replaced promptly.
- Prepare clear creative briefs and work with the Marketing and Creative teams to develop offline collateral.
- Review creatives for messaging, accuracy, readability and practical usability, and coordinate internal approvals.
- Manage printing, production and distribution of approved material, and maintain an inventory of frequently used collateral.

4. Cross-Functional & Growth Collaboration

- Work with Marketing, Growth,

Operations and hospital teams — and with doctors and clinical teams for specialty-led activity — to execute campaigns.
- Understand centre-wise, doctor-wise and specialty-wise business priorities and develop targeted offline initiatives to support them.
- Support frontline teams with collateral and activation requirements and translate their field insights into marketing initiatives.
- Maintain campaign and activity calendars, coordinate timelines and responsibilities across stakeholders, and follow up to ensure delivery within agreed timelines.

5. Partnerships & Vendor Management

- Identify and develop local marketing partnerships with residential societies, corporates, community and healthcare organisations, medical associations, educational institutions, NGOs, local businesses and event partners.
- Coordinate joint activities that align with SSO's marketing and outreach objectives and maintain a structured database of potential and active partners.
- Identify and manage vendors — printers, fabricators, event agencies, photographers and others — obtaining and comparing quotations and negotiating commercials without compromising quality.
- Ensure timely production and delivery of marketing material and monitor vendor quality and turnaround times.
- Maintain vendor databases and commercial records, and coordinate invoices and internal payment processes where required.

6. Market Research & Competitive Intelligence

- Research local healthcare and oncology markets, and monitor competitor hospitals and cancer centres on branding, events, local campaigns, specialty positioning, doctor communication and patient outreach.
- Gather insights from patients, internal teams and external stakeholders, and identify emerging opportunities across locations and specialties.
- Share actionable market insights with the Marketing and Growth teams.

7. Measurement, Budget & Process

- Define measurable objectives before major campaigns and maintain activity-wise trackers.
- Coordinate QR codes, unique phone numbers or campaign codes to attribute enquiries and leads to specific initiatives.
- Track activity cost, footfall, registrations, leads, OPDs generated, conversion, cost per lead, cost per OPD, revenue where attribution is possible, and ROI of major initiatives.
- Prepare post-event and post-campaign reports, and recommend which activities to repeat, modify or discontinue.
- Maintain offline marketing budgets, track planned versus actual expenditure, and ensure campaigns run within approved budgets with proper documentation of expenditure.

- Maintain a central activity calendar, checklists and SOPs for recurring activities, and collateral, vendor and partner databases.
- Ensure every activity has a transparent owner, timeline, budget and expected outcome, with documentation and photographs retained for future campaigns.

What We're Looking For

- 1–3 years of experience in offline marketing, brand activation, events, field marketing or local area marketing.
- Graduate degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.
- Strong execution, project management and attention to detail; comfortable running multiple activities simultaneously.
- Strong vendor-management and negotiation skills.
- Good written and verbal communication, and the ability to coordinate with senior internal stakeholders, doctors and clinical teams.
- Comfortable working with Excel / Google Sheets and basic marketing reports.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into practical marketing initiatives.
- This is a field-based role: it requires regular local travel across Mumbai and a willingness to work evenings and weekends when events, camps and activations require it, including on-site setup and supervision.
- Strong ownership and follow-through.

Good to Have

Experience in any of the following is an advantage: healthcare or hospital marketing, oncology or specialty healthcare, local-area and BTL marketing, events and activations, doctor marketing, healthcare camps, CME / medical events, corporate activations, community outreach, hospital branding, print production, vendor management, partnerships and alliances, and referral marketing.

Who Will Do Well in This Role?

You should enjoy making things happen on the ground — moving between planning an event, coordinating with a doctor, getting a standee produced, negotiating with a vendor, scouting an activation location, checking that branding has been installed correctly, and then measuring whether the activity generated results.

We're looking for someone who doesn't stop at "the activity was successfully conducted," but asks who we were trying to reach, whether the right audience attended, how many enquiries it generated, whether those converted into OPDs, and whether it was worth repeating. Strong execution combined with commercial thinking.

What Success Looks Like

- Consistent offline visibility, branding and collateral across all SSO locations.
- Events and activations executed professionally, on time and within budget.
- Marketing initiatives aligned with centre, doctor and specialty priorities.
- Strong local partner, stakeholder and vendor relationships, managed efficiently.
- Offline activity measurably tracked, successful initiatives scaled across locations, and spend directed towards what generates awareness, engagement and business outcomes.
