About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IT Director – MSSP & Cybersecurity Services to help build, shape, and grow our Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) offering.

This is not a traditional IT operations or infrastructure management role . The ideal candidate will act as a technology and cybersecurity leader for our clients , understanding their business and security requirements, designing the right solution, educating stakeholders, and driving the implementation of those solutions.

You will be one of the key technical leaders responsible for taking a client's requirement from discovery → solution design → client alignment → implementation → ongoing customer success .

The ideal candidate combines strong knowledge of cybersecurity, managed security services, infrastructure, cloud, and IT environments with excellent client-facing, consultative, and business-development skills.

Key Responsibilities

MSSP & Cybersecurity Solution Leadership

- Lead the design and delivery of MSSP and managed cybersecurity solutions for clients.
- Understand client environments, business requirements, security risks, and operational challenges.
- Translate client requirements into practical security, infrastructure, cloud, and managed-service solutions .
- Design security architectures and service models rather than simply operating within an existing environment.
- Define appropriate solutions across SOC, SIEM, MDR/XDR, IAM, endpoint security, vulnerability management, cloud security, network security, and incident response .
- Develop security roadmaps and recommend improvements based on the client's current workplace and future requirements.
- Ensure proposed solutions are scalable, secure, commercially viable, and aligned with the client's business objectives.

Client Consulting & Education
- Act as a trusted technology and cybersecurity advisor to clients.
- Lead technical discovery sessions and understand the client's existing infrastructure, security posture, and business needs.
- Educate clients on security risks, technology options, recommended solutions, and best practices.
- Clearly explain what needs to be implemented, why it is required, and how it will improve the client's security posture.
- Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to improve security, efficiency, and operational maturity.
- Present solution architectures, roadmaps, recommendations, and implementation plans to client stakeholders.




- Build strong relationships with client leadership and become a long-term technology partner.

Implementation & Service Onboarding
- Own the transition from solution design to implementation and managed-service onboarding .
- Lead client onboarding, infrastructure transition, security implementation, and service activation.
- Work closely with internal engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operations teams to execute client solutions.
- Establish implementation plans, milestones, responsibilities, and success criteria.
- Ensure smooth transition into ongoing MSSP operations and customer support.
- Monitor service performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- The source JD specifically calls for experience with client onboarding, infrastructure transition, security implementation, and service onboarding for enterprise customers.

Growth & Customer Success
- Partner with leadership to identify opportunities to grow the MSSP business and expand existing customer relationships .
- Identify additional cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, compliance, and managed-service opportunities within existing accounts.
- Support pre-sales activities, solution discussions, proposals, technical presentations, and client meetings.
- Work with customers to demonstrate measurable value from the services being delivered.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and drive long-term retention and satisfaction.
- Act as the bridge between customer requirements, technical delivery, and business outcomes .

Technology & Security Leadership
- Establish and maintain cybersecurity and infrastructure standards for MSSP customers.
- Provide technical leadership across cloud, networking, infrastructure, endpoint, identity, and security environments.
- Guide teams responsible for security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, IAM, and security monitoring.
- Ensure solutions follow appropriate security frameworks and industry best practices.
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity technologies, threats, AI-driven security solutions, and managed security services.

What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience across IT, Infrastructure,



Cybersecurity, Managed IT Services, MSSP, or related technology environments.
- Strong experience working in a Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) or managed IT services environment.
- Experience in cybersecurity solution design, infrastructure architecture, and managed service delivery .
- Experience working directly with customers in a consultative or technology advisory capacity .
- Strong understanding of enterprise cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, and networking.
- Experience designing solutions for customers rather than only managing pre-existing environments.
- Strong understanding of SOC, SIEM, MDR/XDR, IAM, PAM, endpoint security, vulnerability management, incident response, and cloud security .
- Experience leading client onboarding and transitioning customers into managed security services.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand both technical requirements and commercial objectives .
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to educate non-technical stakeholders and explain complex cybersecurity concepts in a simple and practical manner.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to take a client requirement and drive it through to execution.
- Experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building or scaling an MSSP / Managed Security Services practice .
- Experience in cybersecurity consulting, technology consulting, solution architecture, or managed services.
- Experience working with SMB, mid-market, or enterprise customers.
- Experience with accounting, financial services, professional services, or other highly regulated industries.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AWS/Azure certifications, ITIL, or equivalent are preferred.
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, or PCI-DSS .
- Experience with AI-driven cybersecurity, automation, and modern security platforms.
