Manager / Group Lead — Residue Analysis Laboratory | Pesticide Residue Testing

About The Role:

Senior technical leadership position to manage and lead our Residue Analysis Laboratory — specializing in pesticide residue testing for food and agricultural matrices. This is a hands-on role requiring deep expertise in GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS analysis, method validation, regulatory compliance, and team leadership.

Regulatory & Quality Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, APEDA, SANTE, AOAC, and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards
- Handle NABL assessments, customer audits, and regulatory inspections
- Maintain ISO/IEC 17025 documentation, data integrity, and analytical quality standards
- Review and approve analytical data, chromatograms, validation reports, and test reports
- Manage instrument qualification (DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ), calibration, and preventive maintenance

Team Leadership & Development:

- Supervise and train technical staff on pesticide analysis protocols, regulatory compliance, and laboratory best practices
- Monitor laboratory quality metrics, turnaround time (TAT), and operational efficiency
- Build a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence
- Provide technical customer support and drive laboratory capability expansion

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

- M.Sc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related discipline




- Minimum 12–20 years in a NABL-accredited Residue Analysis Laboratory
- Proven hands-on expertise with GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, and multi-residue pesticide analysis
- Strong knowledge of QuEChERS methodology and advanced sample preparation
- Demonstrable experience in food and agricultural commodity testing

Technical & Regulatory Knowledge:

- Deep understanding of FSSAI, APEDA, SANTE, AOAC, and ISO/IEC 17025 regulatory frameworks
- Expertise in method validation, measurement uncertainty, and method development
- Experience in audit handling, laboratory management, and compliance documentation
- NABL Authorized Signatory qualification — preferred

Leadership & Soft Skills:

- Proven team leadership and staff development experience
- Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with commitment to regulatory compliance and data integrity
