Role & responsibilities
Prepares timely and accurate financial reporting
Participates in identifying, analyzing, and understanding the potential financial impact from various business issues, opportunities and decisions.
The Finance Manager works closely with respective finance team in India to drive for better transparency in financial information in compliance with the Group guideline, improving internal control procedure and governance compliance in accordance with local and international accounting standard,
Financial:
- Support country budget targets
- Support local SLT and Country Director by identifying areas to increase EBITDA
- Provide variance analysis to assist local SLT and Country Director in decision making
Non-Financial
- Manage Local Finance team
- Support departmental and regional organizational goals
- Manage the annual budget process
- Manage the monthly forecast process
Forecast Process
- Starting with budget, build monthly forecasts with input from local SLT and Country Director
- Provide monthly analysis of Actuals vs. Forecast for monthly reporting to the Reg. Finance Manager/Finance Director
Tax
- Work closely with local tax team on all Tax/GST related matters. .
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor degree in accounting / finance, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of seven (10) years of experience in accounting / finance
- Proficiency with SAP, word processing and spreadsheets
- Prior working in Travel or Meetings and Events industry. Second preference hotel. • Needs to have in-depth understanding of taxation laws for M&E;
- Accounting under IFRS (International Accounting Standards)
- CA with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Accounting/Finance.
- Candidates must have solid experience in AP, AR, GL, and end-to-end finance and accounting operations.
- Must possess expertise in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
- Should have prior experience managing and supervising finance teams with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Must have 3-4+ years of hands-on experience in SAP, preferably SAP S/4HANA, including T-Codes, invoice posting, and journal entry posting.
- Should have extensive experience in accounts payable and receivable processes, including reconciliations, collections, and payment processing.
- Must have a minimum of 3-4 years of hands-on GST experience, including compliance and reconciliations.
- Should have experience coordinating with tax consultants and managing statutory and internal audits.
- Must have strong business partnering experience with senior leadership and regional/global stakeholders.
- Should be proficient in month-end and year-end closing activities, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and financial close reporting.
