Designation Manager – Early Childhood Development & Curriculum

About the Role

Zoodle Kid is looking for an experienced Early Childhood Development & Curriculum Manager to lead the academic and developmental integrity of our programs for children aged 0–6 years. We are not looking for someone whose expertise is limited to curriculum writing or academic content. This role requires a qualified with a deep understanding of Early Childhood Development (ECD), Early Childhood Education (ECE), pedagogy, developmental milestones, child psychology, age-appropriate learning, and play-based development along with the leadership maturity to translate that knowledge into high-quality programs and a capable curriculum team.

The person will take ownership of curriculum development, validation, research, team training, quality assurance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across Zoodle Kid's programs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Early Childhood Development & Pedagogy

- Bring robust subject expertise in child development from birth to 6 years.
- Understand developmental milestones across cognitive, language, physical, social, emotional, behavioural, and creative domains.
- Ensure activities and learning experiences are developmentally appropriate for each age group.
- Apply sound principles of ECE, pedagogy, child psychology, play-based learning, and experiential learning.
- Translate developmental concepts and research into practical experiences parents can conduct with children at home.
- Understand individual developmental differences and avoid a one-size-fits-all approach to childhood development.

1. Curriculum Leadership

- Lead the research, development, refinement, and continuous improvement of Zoodle Kid's age-wise curriculum.
- Ensure strong progression and continuity across 0–6 months, 6–12 months, 1–2, 2–3, 3–4, and 4–6 years. Ensure activities have explicit developmental objectives rather than being included merely for engagement.
- Maintain alignment between activities, developmental milestones, learning outcomes, materials, and Zoodle Kid's 9Q framework.
- Identify curriculum gaps, redundancies, developmental mismatches, and opportunities for improvement.

Validation & Quality Assurance

- A major responsibility of this position is the ability to identify what is wrong, understand why it is wrong, and determine how it should be corrected.
- Validate curriculum documents, activity guides, scripts, learning materials, program videos, and parent-facing content.
- Check for developmental appropriateness, factual accuracy, age suitability, safety, practicality, and pedagogical value.
- Identify errors or weak developmental reasoning before content reaches parents.
- Troubleshoot inconsistencies and provide clear corrective direction to the team.
- Establish validation checklists, standards, and review processes for curriculum quality.
- Coordinate expert/SME validation wherever specialist intervention is required.

1. Research & Development

- Continuously research developments in early childhood development, neuroscience, psychology, pedagogy, parenting, and learning sciences.
- Evaluate research critically rather than relying solely on trends or generic online information.
- Convert relevant research into practical, parent-friendly learning experiences.
- Work with psychologists, pediatricians, therapists, educators, and other subject matter experts where necessary.
- Strengthen the scientific and developmental foundation behind Zoodle Kid's programs.

1. Team Leadership & Training

- Lead and mentor curriculum developers, associates, researchers, and related contributors.
- Train the team on ECD, developmental milestones, pedagogy, research methods, validation standards, and Zoodle Kid's framework.
- Be capable of explaining why something is developmentally right or wrong rather than simply approving or rejecting it.
- Conduct regular knowledge sessions, reviews, feedback discussions, and quality audits.
- Delegate effectively while maintaining accountability for final curriculum quality.




- Build a team capable of independently researching, questioning, validating, and improving content.

1. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with Video, Design, Product/Tech, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure accurate execution of curriculum.
- Translate curriculum requirements into clear instructions for non-academic teams.
- Support Program Advisors and parent-facing teams with developmental knowledge and training.
- Analyse recurring parent questions and feedback to identify opportunities for program improvement.

Education Qualifications:

- Master's degree preferred in one or more of the following: Early Childhood Education / Early Childhood Care & Education Child Development / Human Development Developmental or Child Psychology Education / Pedagogy Psychology with strong ECD experience Developmental Sciences
- Other closely related disciplines Relevant professional certifications in ECE/ECCE, Montessori, developmental psychology, special education, or child development are an advantage.

Experience

- Ideally 3+ years of relevant experience, with meaningful exposure to early childhood development or education.
- Prior experience leading a curriculum, pedagogy, academic, ECD or program development team is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum design, review, validation, and team training. Experience working specifically with the 0–6 age group is highly desirable.
- Depth of expertise will be valued over years of experience alone.

We Are Specifically Looking For We need someone who can look at an activity, curriculum document, or program video and confidently answer: Is this right for this child's age? What developmental purpose does it serve? Which milestone or developmental domain does it support? Is the underlying explanation scientifically and pedagogically sound? Is it safe and realistic for a parent to execute? What is wrong with it, if anything? How should we correct it? Can I teach my team to understand the same reasoning? If a candidate can consistently answer these questions with depth and clarity, they are likely the kind of professional we are looking for.

Pay: From ₹35,000.00 per month
